Foaling services

Newton Stud is more than happy to take in mares for foaling and is able to offer large foaling boxes complete with CCTV and foaling alarms.

Fees
Accommodation fees plus £200 foaling fee

This includes

• Vigilant monitoring of the mare in the time leading up to foaling
• Ensuring the foal can stand unaided
• Ensuring the foal has suckled within a couple of hours of birth
• An enema for the foal to ensure there is no retained meconium
• Checking that the mare has passed her afterbirth

This does not include

Any veterinary fees arising that may be required for the mare or foal or in the case of abortion any post mortem reports or laboratory fees.
