Oldenburg mare - Rubinstein x Grenadier x Akzent II

Grandiosa is a state premium Oldenburg mare with an outstanding progeny record. She has produced a licensed Oldenburg stallion by Fürst Heinrich, the state premium Oldenburg mare Grandina, the first ever British-bred state premium candidate (Newton Feronia — see below for coverage in Horse & Hound) and a 2014 colt by Charmeur, Newton Credential, who is now owned by Carl Hester.

Grandiosa's sire Rubinstein is one of the worlds all-time great dressage sires, with 40 wins at grand prix. He was a member of the 1996 Olympic team, sired 89 state premium mares and 66 approved stallion sons.

Rubinstein's dam Antine is the full sister to two Olympic dressage stars; Amon and Dr Reiner Klimke's famous horse Ahlerich. Rubinstein is by the stallion Rosenkavalier who is by Romadour II, who is the sire of World and Olympic champion, Rembrant. Rubinstein is the sire of Relevant, Rusty, Rhodiamant, Royal Diamond amongst many others. Rubinstein was quite simply one of the best dressage sires to have ever lived.

Her dam-sire Grenadier was schooled to FEI level dressage and stood at Celle, where he sired 27 approved stallions. He was said to have had an all round disposition and was brilliantly true to type. He was the reserve champion of his stallion testing. Grenadier is considered one of the most influential stallions from the Grenade line. In 1990, he was third in his age group in FN statistics in dressage. His son Golfstrom I was an international grand prix dressage horse, winning the German team gold medal with Ann Kathrin Kroth at the 1990 World Championships in Sweden.
